WORLD YOUTH DAY

When I started to get involved in world youth day 2008 nearly a year ago, I didn’t really know what to expect from it. All I knew was that it was a gathering of young Catholics from all over the world in the presence of Pope Benedict XVI and I hoped that I would gain something from the experience.
All I can say is that I certainly underestimated it! The whole experience was absolutely amazing and I got a lot more from it than I ever expected. Considering we were only in Australia for two and a half weeks, we certainly managed to cram a lot into that time and have all come away from it with lots of special memories. There are so many aspects of the trip that meant a lot me and I’m just going to tell you about a few of them …
